Make A Difference Day
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2023
The 30th annual United Way of Western Crawford County’s Make a Difference Day (MADD) is coming soon! This event completes more than 100 service projects assisting many in need, including local senior residents, low-income families, and non-profit organizations with projects ranging from general lawn maintenance to critical home repairs to food drives to youth reading events and so much more!
YOU have an opportunity to join us! See below for ways you and your organization can participate.
1. Donate (sponsorship form): We provide a light breakfast and lunch for project volunteers to boost their energy throughout the day, especially on time-consuming projects. These items include:
- Bottled Water/ Coffee/ Hot Chocolate
- Donuts/Muffins
- Fruit (apples, bananas, etc.)
- Granola Bars
Please note: Lending works too! We also use a variety of tools for projects throughout the day: rakes, hedge trimmers, power-washers, shovels, etc. Any support in this area is greatly appreciated!
(*MADD sponsorships will be recognized on all MADD marketing materials and social media posts.)
2. Volunteer
Make a Difference Day would be impossible without the volunteers. We are asking local organizations to form a team to participate. Please encourage your members to join this effort! Having a team participate in MADD will enhance the visibility of your organization and commitment to the community. Please call (814) 337-1251 or register below.
3. Spread the Word
If you know of any community members in need, please contact the MADD hotline at (814) 337-1251 to register a MADD project by Friday, October 6, 2023.
On behalf of the MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY Committee, thank you for your consideration.
