A one-year gift from an individual of at least $1000.

A one-time contribution for a specific program, service or need.

A transfer of stock to the United Way; the giver claims a tax deduction of the full face value at the time of the gift.

Contributions made on behalf of another individual; these may be restricted for a special purpose or unrestricted for United Way use.

Larger gifts to the United Way or a foundation on behalf of the United Way where the agency will receive the income from the endowment; normally the principle is restricted and the agency uses the earnings; these are on-going with the foundation managing the funds in perpetuity.
